Hi, my name is Ole and I was once a bullying victim and later in my life a bully myself.
I had red hair as a child and was always one of the weak little guys, that couldn’t really protect themselves physically. When I entered high school, I started to annoy people by talking crap to them, or just do stupid things to them. On one day I threw two bottles of orange juice from a guy out of the classrooms window… This guy’s name is Alex. Alex was a hyperactive child, that had some kind of “bad” attitude. He was bullied very often, and also bullied people when there was an opportunity. So I threw the bottles out, and the teacher wanted me to go out and get them back. I went to get the bottles, and waited like 10 minutes… I had a really stupid idea.
Then I went back to the classroom and gave Alex the bottles back. He smiled on me contemptuously, opened one and drank it all out at once. I smiled to him and said: “Dude, I just peed in that bottle…” He ran to the toilet to puke it out. Actually I didn’t even pee in the bottles. The pretending of it was enough to make him feel really sick.
When he came back he stared at me in real anger, and i told him that it was just a joke. He flamed me: “Why don’t you tell me that before I go to Puke?” He looked really sick. And I think from that day on he really hated me for a long time.
“When he came back he stared at me in real anger, and I told him that it was just a joke.”
And that is I think the biggest failure in that short story… making this kind of joke is nasty, but to watch someone get physically sick, just for the own Ego is an absolute no go!
Alex and I bullied each other often as teenagers, this is just one little part of our long connection. It was always some kind of little war between him and the class, and most time i was on the side of the class. We both did not do well in school, and after a couple of years we both were kicked out without an Education.
We split up until we met again around the age of twenty. Today we are really good friends. He still has problems with his hyperactivity sometimes, but in the most cases hes managing it and stays cool.
Sometimes we talk about those old stories and cannot believe how stupid we were…
